Is this airy enough?

Just wanna share a picture of the media i use to pot my neps....Is it airy enough? I use a mixture of Sphagnum moss, perlite, burnt earth and a little bit of charcoal...Do you guys add more chunky stuff(perlite/pumice) in your media to have better drainage?

Re: Is this airy enough?

'Airyness' of media depends on frequency of watering and surrounding humidity. Miranda does not mind all sorts of media, so it is a good one to experiment with..

As suggested by kepikimut, try to use "bigger" chuncks of media. That's will definately make it more airy.

Re: Is this airy enough?

ken, a composition as such should use less sphagnum moss to prevent clogging. Have you tried pouring water continuously to see what is the outcome. If drainage is poor water will be held back on the surface with moss, charcoal, perlite started to float around. small amount cut up sphg.moss like 10% for humidity and to retain moisture will be sufficient.
