wow....good germination rate..haha, but my ampullaria did not grow well, it's basal growing tips keep turning black....what should i do?

May be you needs to put water tray from them, this is what I do.:shy:

I started the plant 1 on May 2009, after 4months (Ocy 2009) basal was start growing. The photo at #30 was on this morning.

hmm....maybe i should try that...hehe
i never good in nepenthes :1thumbup::2thumbup:
but i scare that it will cause the root to rot...
the media that i use is 60 sphagnum moss and 40 perlite...need to change?

I'm using 100% sphagnum moss for my Nepenthe expect N. albomarginata was using 100% soil *biggrin2*.
I did try for 60% sphagnum moss and 40 soil for N. ampullaria but the result was nt goods as I'm using 100%.:shy:

I do not have rot issue for N. ampullaria because in 'normal', the pot was about 30% in the water *biggrin2*

May be we needs advice from the Senior member on this issue.

wow....to be honest, i did not dare to put them at high water level place, as i read from many place state that they need good air ventilation and not too overwet media. one of my nepenthes die because of that, it was potted at 100% sphagnum moss, it did thrive for 2month, after that just die of rot in two weeks time......

adelae can multiply in more than one way, side shoots, or by leave, or by root..
