I like tomato sauce, but hate the fruit. Well, I hate almost every vegetable except corn, potato, broccoli, sweet potato, mushrooms, and a very few more.

Tomatos are not Vegetables, they are fruits. If you do not like them Raw, you should give slighty grilled Tomatos a try, grilling not only (apparently) releases more of the beneficial chemicals, I think it gives them also better taste, I love grilled tomatos and a bit of salt. Of course since I met my wife, she introduced me to fresh tomato based pasta which made me completely change my mind about tomato based pasta. Fresh Tomato based pasta tastes great, while if you used canned ones, they tend to be more sour.
Going back to Carnivory. I agree with the post in the article, that the mechanism is probably more for self defense than for carnivory or fertilization benefits. Thanks for sharing! TTFN Arvin |

it is not exact
the carnivorous plants must answer has certain characters, as for example the manufacture of enzyme to dissolve the preys in the case of the tomatos we are far from the account possibly we could say them proto carnivorous and still. jeff |
