Re: Random Drosera Pictures
hongrui,
Can you share your cultivation technic or routine for your prolifera? day and night temperatures and sunlight intensity. What media do you use? Thanks. |
Re: Random Drosera Pictures
i keep D. prolifera in shade, mix is 1:1 peat and sand, with a top dressing of sand. no special reason for the top dressing though. because the pot is in shade, i guess the max temp is maybe 30C, drops down at night to maybe 24C.
i tried growing D. schizandra in the same conditions but it rotted away. maybe because my humidity wasn't high enough. |
Re: Random Drosera Pictures

I've already killed 2 prolifera and 2 schizandra. :crying: Is the area where your prolifera is very humid? |
Re: Random Drosera Pictures
tarence, nope, i only have 1 left, and its just surviving.
David, its not particularly humid, i think. i have not bothered to go measure the RH though. did you keep both your D. prolifera and D. schizandra in shade or in bright light? |
Re: Random Drosera Pictures
I tried one in my terrarium with only one 18 watt PLL light and 90% humidity. It died. Then I tried another one at the window of my apartment. It received bringht light. No direct sunlight. It also died.
