I've already asked Fauzi to look into this, he always have dealings with the Agriculture Department. Let's wait and see what he'll find out.

Anyone that have business selling neps in Malaysia should find out what is really going on because nep cultivation in Malaysia as a hobby will be seriously impacted due to this act. :thumbdown:

I will move this thread to the main nep forum as this topic is related to nepenthes and it's something we should be seriously looking into. Thanks to cbkhoon for bringing this matter to everyone's attention. Thanks. :1thumbup:

hope to hear some good news... eg.

if we really need to apply permit to own or cultivate, i hope that there can be a better way for us instead of paying $$$ yearly.

things come out from gov is always equal to bull ****, RM 4 for a piece of RM 0.40 curry puff seems to be not enough for these morons, still looking for trouble here and there, so now what, plants from cites need to be registered and most likely need to pay for some paperwork and **** like that huh? Should looks into what they have done or what happens to the Alam Sekitar Department before making some ****ty statement here and there, if it wasn't their retarded decision and corruption, there won't be so many species of flora and fauna get into Cites or extinction list, so now they try to blame us for what they have done or what, it's totally accusation to those who cares bout Nep or other Cites plant. By the way, which species is on or not on the Cites list?

Now they order this, then later they continue to collect more under table money and allow illegal deforestation, more nep gone into Cites and more money into their F*** Up Pocket? Do they even make this bull **** policy public or keep it secret till we see bunch of people get caught without knowing what happens on the news?

If I were to end up being forced to pay them for permission to keep Nep, I rather hire sniper to feed who ever comes mess with me with sweet bullets

Great. It's going to be one hell of a trouble to have such a permit thing! Our government better have a miraculous excuse for this, otherwise no one is going to accept it at all, it's too restricting! :(

If they mean anything classified in the vulnerable list, it most probably means ANY type of plant species. Plus, our government has the tendency to include everything in one go to save trouble from trying to specify which plant must have the permit and which does not.

Please try to remain calm. We are asking relevant ppl to find out more details.
