Re: My Sunpitcher
Ban aik, sorry to hear that. I get this on first day with last pot at 6:30PM and second day I went there again, there is another with blooming flower at around 1PM. That should be the 7th pot.
Aaron and KC, I was planned to get this when I am trying to build my cooling task. Even my task not completed. I still get it to earn grow experience. |
Re: My Sunpitcher
Hey Ban Aik. We were not the first to get them. It was a Penangnite. I was there on Saturday to get mine and out of all the plants, one was outstandingly beautiful and guess who already booked it... our Lim (picesilim)! He's even faster than all of us.

Re: My Sunpitcher
Well done on the Sun Pitcher. One of local members of the ACPS does grow these very well. He reckons that it like bright conditions, he keep winning the monthly award for best plant at the meeting. Also he recommond a feed of very diluted sealsol and liquid fertilzer, applied to the foliage, once month.
I would still keep it cool, I grow mine in the shadehouse. They are starting to pick up. |
Re: My Sunpitcher
I will never grow them until I get the space......and cool temperature requirements.
Nice heliam, eric Cheers |
Re: My Sunpitcher
Khoas,
Can I use follia fert? Those that I use on my Tillandsias. Maybe that would help my BE clone to grow bigger pitchers. Pitchers do not seem to be getting bigger although it keep growing more new traps. |

Re: My Sunpitcher
ok ok, confession time. i was there on friday afternoon with my friend who is now crazy about CPs, because we got nothing better to do. i didnt even know whether they were selling anything or not. i took a pot and he took one. this is our first time buying heliamphoras. so, we left the rest to others..... only 1 pot each, i swear. i am going to repot it and am seriously thinking of dividing it since it is quite big plant. wish me luck......

Re: My Sunpitcher
Just ask who had bought this at Penang fest, quite a number of young leaf turn yellow and dried up. Is it a temperature shock after from Cameron to KL?
In other hand, I saw number of mature pitchers appeared. Hope this is a good sign. I haven't re-pot them as I read the book, don't re-pot if they still with young leaf. Otherwise will take more longer time to produce mature pitcher. |
Re: My Sunpitcher
Quite worry about it... the pitcher going brown even the young leaf...
