look at the more reddish tone under almost 100% sunlight.

I can spot dots on you plant...bugs?Otherwise they are all nice!

which dots? the new pitcher? those are natural...the old pitcher is messy because i did not wash it before photography nia....or are you referring to the mirabilis or the others?:confused:

The mira's...those small dots....well whenver they appear I submerge the plant and no more dots...for me lar..

Those are nectar dots found outside of pitchers. Sometimes can also see it on leaves and stem depending on the species and hybrids.

Oh ya... about the color change besides amount of light, it is also due to maturity factor. I noticed younger pitcher will usually have less intense coloration, as the nep slowly growing up, you'll start to see the pitcher color up and show more characteristic... My clone is flowering now... *biggrin2* but it's a male... :crying:

hmm....so those are nectar dots....no wonder those ants are attracted to the whole pitcher instead of just the peristome and the lid areas....seems like somebody dropped a lollipop on it....ha ha ha*biggrin2*

this mirabilis is the previous one i've got from you.....the new one has just produced 2 new pitchers....have to wait still (no need to wait for 9 months...but still cannot do scanning)....he he :wub:
