I found this old posting from www.my-mac.net forum that was posted by our very own Piscesilim (Lim).

Relinking the pictures here.

With my limited knowledge, is the nepenthes pictured from the ventricosa species?

More details of the original chinese thread in -> http://www.my-mac.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1141

Please post your questions regarding the setup to Lim. He is our real sifu for terrarium here.

Cheers,
Isaac

Yes. It is N. x ventrata. I use 2 x phillips 865 as lighting. The Nepenthes is growing. But not as red as under the natural full sunlight.

The tanks were 2-3 years ago. And they are paludarium. Not terrarium. Now no more already. Plan to set up one paludarium with air plants.

« Reply #4 on 19 Jan, 2007, 23:39 »Got no rock in my tank. They are actually driftwoods. There got 1 hole on the driftwood. I just put the Nepenthes inside together with some sphagnum moss. Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif LoggedLimcactustts

« Reply #5 on 22 Jan, 2007, 13:21 »Lim, (third pic) are those green mosses at the middle top riccia? Did you make any water flow from the top? What are the mosses attached on the drift wood? Xmas moss? Java moss? Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif LoggedTSpiscesilim

« Reply #6 on 22 Jan, 2007, 22:10 »Yes. Got riccia and Singapore moss.

There got one pipe at the top. The pipe got holes every inches which allow water flow. The pipe is connected to one pump at the bottom.

« Reply #7 on 22 Jan, 2007, 23:23 »How you mount those drift wood on the wall until so high up. Just stake them together? Anything to tie them up? Is there any space behind the background wall? I saw some people leave some space to hide the water hose, water pump etc at the back.
Any fish in the water?

« Reply #8 on 23 Jan, 2007, 22:52 »Yes. Just stake together. But if can use silicone better. No space at back ground wall The pipe is at the left hand side of the tank.

I keep chocolate gourami.

Absolutely beautiful Lim.

« Reply #10 on 30 May, 2007, 10:19 »This tank I tear down already. Because I didn't put filter inside and the pipe was stucked. Next time , I should put one canister filter or if can use RO filter better. Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif LoggedLim
