Triffid Park Visit (Image intensive)
Being unsure where to post this, I thought this is a neutral enough thread. My family and I went to Melbourne over the Chinese New year break. Visit Triffid Park courtesy of Adam aka strath76. Thanks again Adam. It was a wonderful trip until I realised that my camera was running out of battery..... forgotten to charge the night before. Here are some pictures while in Triffid Park, not many though...
Dionaea musipula Room So many!!! https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1289 https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1290 https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1295 Gold Strike https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1292 Akai Ryu https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1293 https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1294 https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1296 Unnamed- looks like bristle tooth, Adam bought it. https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1297 BIG trap- that is Australia 10 cents on the top right corner = Malaysian 20sens https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1298 Drosera Room Forgotten the name, care to guess? Looks very healthy indeed! https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1299 Germinating tray and seedlings in the background https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1300 So many D microscarpa https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1301 Drosera?? microscarpa I think https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1302 Drosera pygmaea (Kangaroo Island). Smaller than the one Adam and I found later in Langwarrin. The only pygmea found outside Western Australia from South Eastern Australia to Kangaroo Island, South Australia https://forum.petpitcher.net/picture....pictureid=1303 Sarracenia Room This is the most impressive room with hundreds of mature Sarra filling the trays with green and red colours Many of them hybrids which is so rojak (mixed up) that I don't know where to start guessing. Re: Triffid Park Visit (Image intensive)
Glad to be of assistance. The Drosera is D. dilatato-petiolaris.
Triffid Park is a retail/wholesale nursery located about an hour south east of Melbourne. Inspection is by appointment only. They do have a mail order service available. |
