Personnally, Im prefer the CP media section not to contact the water in the tank.

hmmm...alright casey..then might go with my second idea. to separate out and use a humidifier:1thumbup:

I dont think humidifier able wet the media, you need to manually water it.

Humidity of the new "place" is enough to grow most of CP. So, personnally, I dont think you need to have the humidifier.

cowlat, curious where would you place the paludarium? I would suggest places where there are potted plants tall enough to provide shade. In your case you're using glass aquarium and the idea was similar to mini garden landscape where a mini pond was constructed added with live fishes and plants. water circulation/filtration by water pump is good enough to keep the humidity high and clean. you only need to check out the water level and added manually if it's not running on auto.
