I can never get it growing for more than three days...

change your growing method and keep it in bright and shaded area, no direct sun.

Robert, you mean intially ? Bright shaded area i mean.... Mine grows happily in full morning sun + patches of a`noon sun........ doesn`t have problem with heat / sunlite as long as the medium is wet enuff. :o)
