Nice northiana Robert, how long have you had it? Did you grow it in shades? Sorry for asking so many questions... Thanks.

Yes, Fauzi do have small size northiana and it's not very expensive for that species, I just got it from him recently and already on the way forming a new pticher...

Re: my northiana

Yeah Robert, your northiana is elongated form. Nice.
The pitchers are getting bigger, nearly 4"! Oooo.. how impressive. :1thumbup:
After I placed mine at a more sunny spot, it's now started to produce bigger pitchers too. But those new tiny pitchers (newly formed) that get direct sun light just don't balloon up but pitchers that grow under the weeds. I wonder if this is really caused by the heat of the direct sun. Will still observe.

Re: my northiana

TS it's likely caused by the heat.

check today the unopen pitcher now opened and touching 4" length, slightly longer than the previous.

Nice! its growing bigger and taller! Just one question, do you use LFS as one of the media for your northiana? Because after reading the savage garden book by peter d'amato, it is said that acidic soil like LFS will stunt northiana's growth.

Cheers

Edward,
Robert already stated he only use LFS as top dressing in his first post...

Thanks for the question. I used sphagnum as toppings and underneath were all coarse clay.

Re: my northiana

Ooohhh, sorry, forgot. Is course clay actually alkaline? Maybe I can start northiana.

Cheers
