Below is the typical habitat for N. rafflesiana but might also support N. ampullaria, N. gracilis and the hybrids.

Notice the N. rafflesiana?? The tendrils is pretty long hence suporting the plant to grow upright, this particular form might be the "long tendril" raff (only one specimen observed).

This kind of trip is not "a walk in the park"... For such trip we'll need a minimum of 3 days, it's definately not a day trip sort of things. Not sure if your parents will agree to this... :unsure:

Many years ago, Longwood Gardens had a N. raff that produced nearly 4 foot long tendrils! They lost the plant, and I thought I would never see one like that again! Nice find! :1thumbup: - Rich
