Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Eastern Peninsular Malaysia
BA,
Your wish is my command... *biggrin2* One of the typical habitat for N. gracilis. http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/7841/habitat1.jpg N. gracilis can grow on rocks  http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/2361/habitat2.jpg A typical N. mirabilis marsh land habitat http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/818/habitat3.jpg Marsh land habitat which is also home to N. ampullaria and... you guess it.. N. gracilis *biggrin2* http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1976/habitat4.jpg Another shot of marsh land http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/3/habitat5.jpg Below is the typical habitat for N. rafflesiana but might also support N. ampullaria, N. gracilis and the hybrids. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/8457/habitat6.jpg Can you see where's the nepenthes? http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/876/habitat7.jpg Notice the N. rafflesiana?? The tendrils is pretty long hence suporting the plant to grow upright, this particular form might be the "long tendril" raff (only one specimen observed). http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8249/habitat8.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/3241/habitat9.jpg |

You're welcome Ali. This kind of trip is not "a walk in the park"... For such trip we'll need a minimum of 3 days, it's definately not a day trip sort of things. Not sure if your parents will agree to this... |

Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Eastern Peninsular Malaysia
Many years ago, Longwood Gardens had a N. raff that produced nearly 4 foot long tendrils! They lost the plant, and I thought I would never see one like that again! Nice find! :1thumbup: - Rich
