Anybody checked the Harian Metro newspaper today? Fauzi has been featured there with 2 pages of coverage, full colour. The title "Tarikan Periuk Kera" translate as "The Attraction of Pitcher Plants" in English.

Interesting.... I can see a 'cecah harga RM550 sepokok'. Isn't that hamata and jamban. Its nice of Fauzi to promote this forum.

If my memory serve me right they have also featured Fauzi in their plantcare (nepenthes) segment a few times before. This time it's a bigger coverage with a two page spread. Thanks Fauzifor mentioning + promoting the forum during the interview.

However I wish the reporter had done better research in completing the article, there's a lot error & contradicting informations. Hey, had he/she visited this forum, I bet he wouldn't have made those mistake :) Or maybe sent a copy to Fauzi for proof-reading before publishing?

Hi All,

Thanks for reading the article .... thanks to Jonathan for the online version of Harian Metro. Actually they came to my nursery last Wednesday and took a lot of photos of the plants and pitchers - no comment on that.

Like before no proof-reading...... anyway thanks again to Harian Metro and forum members for all your support. Hopefully with this free advertisement more people will know about the plants and participate in the forum.

The general purpose of this forum is to share cultivation knowledge and for those who are not aware of the importance on conservation of carnivorous plants... "not that we wanna be superstar" :tongue:


One thing about the article... he/She the reporter only mention the rareness and expensiveness on Nepenthes but did not mention on conservation which may lead to more people poaching for Nepenthes because of the price some would pay not knowing the danger of extinction which would accure... Maybe they should start an artical on "Conservation of farnivorous plant"
