Expert help needed to ID this plant.

from the Nursery, they had no idea what is the latin name for this plant. sold as Bird Flower/ Bunga Burung/ Cucak Rowo. please shed some info. anyway, i still can't imagine how they call them 'bird':confused:

That is Pedilanthus bracteatus. And seems like very famous in nursery nowsaday. There is the others bird plant called Pedilanthus tithymaloides as well, and I have that. Pedilanthus tithymaloides have more bird ;).

Oh that's right. Saw this pedilanthus 8 months ago in Melaka. Then now it appears that many nurseries have these already including those wholesales one in Muar. The price was high initially but now it has dropped a lot.

i bought a 2.5 foot flowering pedilanthus bracteatus for rm25. not too expensive. asking price is about 75 at most garden centres
