Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
sorry about that,my guess is that theres bird that tries to have the grain of pollen inside,so so easien the job,the pluck of those petals.but i dont think the stigma was destroyed.just try to pollinate when the grains are collected :)

Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
cant pollinate them .............T.T
the flower "leaves" just fell off whtn i touched it ............ and the internal has a few yellow "sticks" left most will be blown by the wind.....:crying: |
Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
Still looks like it can pollinate. Must be birds.....I'm betting a small black bird. Possibly a jackdaw? I have a lot of experience with small black birds taking a bite at my sarra....

Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
another thing is the weather ............it has been raining cats n dogs lately............
and today before i touched the petals i noticed a dried up petal ............. and the pitchers are deformed lately.............:crying: |
Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
imho it's too late.
lose most of all the pollen. and if the petal drops, mean end of pollinate time. |
Re: Sarracenia flower ....^^come see the growth
Oh no...........:crying:
It's ok..I will wait for it to flower next time......... But what do I do now??????cut off the flower stalk? It is effecting the pitchers growth....... |
