Re: Random nep pics...
I'll bet that the 1st hybrid has N. Fusca in it. Is izumaea x TM capable of growing in lowland?

Re: Random nep pics...
Nice Medusa .
You don't see this plant very often, I have 3 of them and have had them for over 2 years and I still haven't seen a Pitcher on them . very picky plant for me here in Kansas, US. Here is what mine looked like 2 years ago a month after i got it . http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...cture065-8.jpg Daren |

I am not sure if the izumae x TM can grow lowland, though I would say there is a chance if you growing area is cool in the evenings. Mine is just growing at my bedroom window, so the heat of the day is no problem. When I sleep though, it gets air-con of around 26C, but can stand up to the air-con level humidity with no protection. Given that other highland hybrids like EP's Aristo x Veitchii H/L can grow lowland, this one may be able to. As for the hybrid, its got 4 different Neps in it and yup, its got maxima in it! :) There's no fusca though. :P |

Wow, and there I thought it was just cranky because it didn't like the Singapore heat or something. I guess you guys can imagine how happy I was to see that mine had finally put out a decent sized pitcher, especially after so long. I wonder if perhaps it takes a crazy long time to settle down...mine has produced a basal and that basal pitchers quite regularly, though the pitchers produced are tiny. I sure hope I see more of these larger pitchers, the one in my pic is probably around 1/2 the size of the one in Daren's. |

The plant is a [? x maxima] x [(maxima x ?) x ?] if my memory serves. 2 of the parents are highlanders/intermediates. Some traits from these parents are present, thankfully no crankiness. 1 is a lowlander which recently had a name change issue(should be very easy to guess). Since this one is part of the maxima cross, I personally don't see anything from this parent at all. There is no fusca or truncata. Happy guessing! A larger izumae x TM pitcher and hopefully more medusa pitchers to come soon! |
Re: Random nep pics...
[Thorelii (indochina species) x maxima] x [(maxima x stenphylla) lowii ]
LOL.... |
Re: Random nep pics...
