Re: Die hard VFT Typical...
wah hardy VFT u got there:1thumbup:
and the new growth look really nice and healthy.his happy enough with you. anyway, whats that black shiny pieces in the pots of your VFT and Drosera? |
Re: Die hard VFT Typical...
black silica sand, I use sphagnum at the bottom then top with black silica sand, so far so good, pro and con also, vft grow nicer under that from my observation, but then for a small size vft, there is a risk during rainy season, cos rain drop might mess up the sand, might disturb the root, worst ever case, the sand get splash into the growth point of the vft or simply cover bottom part of the plant, which leads to death, for big and matured plant, that won't happen

gosh!silica sand!
Soo,did u wash the silica sand before you use it?or did u just pour it straightly from the bag? where did u find it ? |

You can get silica sand from fish shop |
Re: Die hard VFT Typical...
ya, silica sand need to wash
dormancy wise, I never encounter that for about 1 year plus oredi, just split the plant every 3 months to half a year, get new plant yet can avoid dormancy, even if dormancy strike, you might lose one or two plant instead of lossing all |
