Somethings wrong

I think there is a problem with one of my dionaea. In the picture, the one on the left is normal while the one on the right is growing long, deformed traps.

Hi Aaron

The one on the right in a way does look quite okay to me....Its probally just making different types of traps...But deformed as in ugly deformed could be some aphids? Mites and if you start seeing the traps blackening and spreading quite fast its black spot fungus...Also yours look like its deprived of sunlight give more light la just throw it out there and let it burn under the direct sunlight with no shade...Maybe not enough light..

It could be confsed by the recent weather. Try to give it more light. It doesn't looked "deform" to me.

If you close up you can see it has no teeth. Who said its light deprived!! It was cloudy at that time. While I'm typing this its almost 38 Celsius.

Off topic, I wonder, how invasive is D. intermedia 'Great Swamp'?? You can see in the photo there are some in my VFT pot. It has invaded my burmanii, akai ryu, p. primuliflora, sarracenias and a lot more.

You have the same problem as me, Aaron. Mine has no teeth and does not close at all. However, this happened after I kinda put it in dormancy and then suddenly threw it in hot sunlight. Where did you get this VFT?

Cheers
