Re: My 1 year old VFTs
Oh, yeah, you have to burn those akai ryu of yours, they need more sunlight if you want them really red. Acidic content has nothing much to do with the plants reddishness. VFTs won't get sunburnt, they are very tolerant of extreme light, and like lots of sunlight.

Yup those are D.sphatulata, there are also byblis liniflora( spelling?) and D. indica there... Yup VFTs loves hot harsh sun i agree... oh btw they were bought from a local nursery :)

Re: My 1 year old VFTs
Oooh, now I see the byblis liniflora......looks young. Well, that proves that your local nurseries sell healthier CPs than in Malaysia. I bought a VFT from a local nursery here and had to transplant it into a fresh media of LFS. Its sufferin now, lost many leaves and already forming deformed traps. Any ideas how to fix the problems? I see you are quite good at taking care of dionaea muscipulas.......:2thumbup:

Re: My 1 year old VFTs
I bought a VFT from a nursery for RM 22. Lots of plants but very very small. They close so slowly. But now they are big and healthy and I sold most of them to my friends. I sold my extra ventratas and drosera too.(Collected about RM 48) Yes now I can buy a cephalotus.
