Re: Truncata black from BE
wow...what a lil jewel!! i think you should cut back on the moss and provide more airier mix but still maintain high humidity and lots of sun....learnt from sifu nepnut and now my truncata is producing new pitcher and new leave.

Re: Truncata black from BE
Your plant look healthy given the current hot and dry weather.
Be prepared to spend 1-2 yrs as truncata is very very slow growing during seedling stage. I got a MT clone which I got almost 1.5 yrs ago similar size to your current BE black truncata, now it's about 5"-6" diameter only... sigh |
Re: Truncata black from BE
is this the king of spade and heart of queen that are being the hottest selling plant few months back? is it a form of hybrid or purebreed?
|
Re: Truncata black from BE
It is a pure breed Soo.

Re: Truncata black from BE
Ali....Their not even sure if it is a species or hybrid but they put it under truncata i guess cos of some similar features...
(I could be wrong) |
Re: Truncata black from BE
I still don't think its a pure species though :crying:

Re: Truncata black from BE
its from selective breeding...*biggrin2* both parents are from the truncata origin. what do they called, purebred or muggles? when can i get my itchy hands on it?

Re: Truncata black from BE
Possibly a hybrid...the peristome looks quite like veitchii's, but otherwise, the two truncatas are extremely amazing plants.
Hopefully BE or somebody can come up with a more detailed explanation about these two plants. |
