Love all the pictures! Simply beautiful.

Jon, I think our Sarras in Malaysia does not stand straight because of the heavy rain we are experiencing everyday. The water gets in the picthers and they tilt or fall flat.

Michelle & Trent...i wait with bated breath......heheh.

David is correct...the rains over here fill up the pitchers & they keel over before you can even move a muscle to save them. i`ve tried to grow them next to a fenced up area & it helps to support the pitchers but the fence partially blocks sunlite & this affect the overall growth.

OK Tarence, here are some minor and psitt hybrids to whet your appetite.

The natural hybrid of flava x psitt is S. crispata
This one is from the FL panhandle. The two species do not normally flower at the same time, so this hybrid is rare.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3533.jpg

S. 'Dixie Lace'
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3532.jpg

S. Yellow River natural hybrid is probably rubra x gilpini
gilpini = rubra x psitt
seed was collected from a rubra among 100's of seedlings, this is a selected cultivar.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3534.jpg

Our own cultivar 'Diamond Head'
is S. Yellow River natural hybrid x minor 'Okee giant'
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3530.jpg

Here is a natural hybrid from Camden County Georgia near the Atlantic coast. It is the natural hybrid combining minor and psitt
'Georgia Peach' -named for its peach colored flowers (and peaches are the state fruit of Georgia)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3536.jpg

This is catesbaei x oreophila
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/PICT3469.jpg

More to come.

We're back! Sorry about the absence. When the forum swithed over we got thrown off a bit, but now we are around again. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Unfortunately, we cannot ship outside of the US because of phytosanitary inspections getting expensive. All of our Sarracenia are selected cultivars from among many, so the only way we can propagate them is by division.
'Black Widow' is a cultivar from a friend of ours. It is one of our favorites too. I will check on the parentage and post it here soon.

I believe the parentage of Black Widow is S. Alata Black x Flava Red.

Re: sunbelle: Photos of our collection

Thanks Wes. I checked the tag last night. Yep. It's what I thought it was, but didn't want to post it without being sure. We have already used it in some hybrids and seed pods are swelling. As long as we don't get a hurricane, we should be stratifying the seed by November.
