Nowadays, breeders are very careful and not so skeptical. Brine shrimps and imported fish foods are fed compared to worms( most farms feed worms as this will make the fish grow faster) . Life span wise, I have raised an albino for 16 months with 7 drops. Anyway, all discussion about guppy are welcome. :2thumbup: |

Re: Guppy fish
for breeding wise, go for guppy, they breed automatically and the fries size will not let them slip into the trap of aquatic cp, betta fries definitely a feeder to aquatic cp traps

Re: Guppy fish
Yes, David, you should try wild bettas or endlers. I love endlers. They are small and lively to look at.

Re: Guppy fish
David that is not true. Only few species will fight. I have a whole pond of B imbellis growing happily together, about 10 of them. Lim is the expert here. Contact the betta people. Ya, Fishoman is one of them too.

Re: Guppy fish
Imbellis means peaceful.

Re: Guppy fish
Ok Ban Aik! I learn new thing about beta today. Thanks... hey, didn't know you were into betas as well. Since when friend. Did not see any last year at your place when I was there for the CP competition.
Wow fishoman, those are really beautiful guppies you have there. I like the albino super red, blue grass, metal lace speartail and especially the albino red lace. Ok, I shall stick to guppies for now unless I get myself another pond or tank, I'll get some "peaceful" betas to put in there. :) |
Re: Guppy fish
Ya, used to play with some guppy but not serious. Mainly Betta spendens. I feel plants easier. When busy just keep them wet will do, don't have to feed. Given up on fishes, fishing, running and hiking and and due to family and work. Hobbies are for free time and not to be given priority.
David, here's the link http://www.bettasocietymalaysia.com....forum.php?f=24 think you need to register prior to viewing. Try Kepong FRIM I remember someone on that forum mentioned something in the old betta society forum about catching some betta there. |
