Got my first lithops today!
 

I actually had bought some that will be coming in the mail next week just this morning, and then this afternoon I went out to the saturday market, and what should I find but somebody selling succlents and cacti who had two little pots of lithops!

Well, how could I pass that up? No waiting for them to come in the mail, they were just right there! So I bought one.

After I bought it I noticed that one of the plants was starting a second head, kind of hidden under one of the old leaves. You can just make it out in that photo if you look close. Looks like a happy, healthy plant!

They are pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to the batch that will hopefully be arriving next week.

They are cute. Looks like there are two species there. Sad to say a few of mine has died over the last 1-2 months. Not sure why. :( Perhaps it's the hot temperatures lately in Malaysia.

They're both the same species, actually. :)

Still haven't got the rest of my plants though. :(

I STILL don't have the rest of my lithops. It's driving me crazy! My friend was supposed to mail them weeks ago, then last week, now she says this week. I sure hope it's soon! And I hope they don't all die while she has them.

Anyhow, the one I do have is growing like mad. (For a lithops, anyhow. It's not like they ever get that big!) Though it's a little bit too tall for my tastes, I suspect I need to try and move it into slightly brighter light. Got to be careful though, as I don't want to sunburn it.
