hey all, i just received seeds from a friend, and was wondering the best way to sow these. I could either put them in a spacious pot with a grown nepenthes, or try them out in a cup of water. thank u's =)

Re: seeds
Hey, I don't think that the seeds need a soak before sowing them. A dedicated pot would be best as removing them from the plant already there would be difficult. What species are they?

Re: seeds

Re: seeds
Chopped Sphagnum moss you could use your sword ;P Sunny place good ventilation but high humidity or not they'll mold

Re: seeds
i allway's spray 1 a week for the first 6 weeks with a fungicide. It keeps the molt away.

Re: seeds
are seeds always prone to mold?cuz i have had no problems with other cp seeds

Re: seeds
I think if you use really good quality sphagnum moss to sow them on you should not have mold problems. I sow my Nep seeds on pure sphagnum moss in a clear cup and cover with a cap. So far no problems with mold

Re: seeds
I am growing in a fishtank with a 15 w growlux light. Maybee the circumstances in Holland are differend. If i don't spray I get molt in 15 day's

Re: seeds
well i am gonna try and grow tomoriana seeds to plantlets in water. I grow some plants with a water tray, i water overhead and monitor how much water pools in its tray. I only have at most 1/4 standing water, which usually is stucked up the next day or two.
