this second site has a pretty good cultivation guide.

P. wallichii, P. quadridichotomum and P. stemmaria are those that goes into/requires a dry dormancy. P. andinium i've not been able to be certain if it requires/goes into dry dormancy but i didn't want to take the risk.

i have about 12 of these fellas and i'm already at a loss of what to do with them when they get bigger. :laugh:

I have read somewhere that elephantotis will go into dormancy too. But on my experience of growing them all, only my wallichii is dormant. It only happen at this time of the year and will resume growth in March. It looks very ugly! You'll get rotten 'cabbage' if water too often.

Sometimes I prefer hybrids. I find they are more hardy. This is very true for madagascariensis. I never have luck with it but not on the hybrids.

yeah, I lose my P. madagascariensis and ridleyii too due to too hot and too wet I think :crying:. I shall gather more info I'm ready for another one :tongue:.
