(eymae x veitchii) x (lowii x (spathulata x maxima)) "eyve lospama" shows already a nice formed peristome. Can't wait for the next pitchers of it

this viking had this red leaves already as seedling while most of the other seedlings from the same seedpod didn't had this strong red. It even shows the red when I have it under artificial light which isn't so strong. The greenhouse stays at a sunny place but is surrounded by plants which are giving it partial shade and at noon it's in complete shade because of the house staying in front of it.

I'll join everyone else in saying, "Great Neps, Boris"! Your pictures are also very well done with really sharp detail and great colors. That bokorensis lid looks so "arched up" it's almost rajah-ish! :>) The thorelii x truncata has such amazing colors! I"ve been playing around with a bunch of hybrids with "thorelii" in 'em and must say that for whatever reason, they seem the most prone to developing interesting looking pitcher colorations. I find the same thing as your red Viking happens on about 5% of my Viking seedlings, right from the start they are red as can be...same thing happens with the Viking x 'tiger' and viking x khasiana but with a higher percentage and instead of deep red they are bronze/copper (really pretty)! But yours has to be one of the best reds I think I've ever seen! Looking forward to seeing more!

Shawn ... a big thanks for your nice reply. I'm also a big fan of the "thorelii" hybrids. Bokorensis proofed here as very hardy and temperature tolerant. I think it's a good candidate to produce window sill hybrids. I've got also rooted cuttings of real kampotiana and seed grown giant tigers but they stop quite fast pitchering if the temperature is too cold or the water not good enough.

Hi Boris, Living in Thailand I have no trouble with Tigers, Vikings, "thorelii", kampotiana, mirabilis, smilesii and the like... it's those beautiful intermediates and highlanders that give us problems here! Congrats on the great plants! Most of the 'local' plants do have a tendency to just dry up and shrivel if I let them go more than a day without water here (quite hot sun and breezes) so I have most of them in trays w/water (breeds their food source at the same time!).
