Very interesting hybrids and tempting too. Too bad i have to forgo this round even thought i'm eyeing the N(thorelli x boschiana) x boschiana seeds. Need to concentrate on my current batch of seeds first.

Rob, you are the best..keep up the good work. Hopefully one day, we can be as good as the thais. I'm really impressed with the varieties they have got there.

Hi Teoh,
Understood. It's ok, just relax and enjoy the hobby at your own pace... if too much also not good *biggrin2*

Damn right.... I envy the Thais for being able to produce so many nep hybrids... :1thumbup: As I'm just one hobbyist, I will need all the helps from other fellow hobbyist hopefully to start a new trend in Malaysia. It's still many years away to see the results but I'm hopeful

With the new akta... nep hybrids will be the future in Malaysia. :1thumbup:

Hehehe.. that's why i go at a slow but steady pace, don't want to get burned out too soon.

It might take years to catch up with the thais but we will be there eventually. :1thumbup:

Re: WTS : Nepnut's Nep hybrid seeds (Made in Malaysia) ^_^

should be more of the case of privately made hybrid instead of malaysian made hybrid, it would be good for hobbyist being able to do it since commercially made one will end up flooding the market with lot of same thing

agree with tekor, it takes forever for small hobbyist like me to get a nep to flower, plus the fact that the chances of one desired pair to flower at the same time is low, we can only go at snail pace:laugh:

Oh, a pos ekspress came today. They must had overheard me complaint them. LOL
Thanks so much for the seed. Kind of addicted to the feeling of ripping open the nep seed pod and scatter the seeds. :)

Re: WTS : Nepnut's Nep hybrid seeds (Made in Malaysia) ^_^

Good to hear.. I was hoping the viking x miranda in it will make it an easily cultivated nep hybrid. Hopefully that will remain true for hybrids with veitchii as well... veitchii usually grow slower.

weeps 29th September 2010 11:12 PM

Re: WTS : Nepnut's Nep hybrid seeds (Made in Malaysia) ^_^

yeah, both also germinated but hybrids with veitchii slower, can see a little green shoot.

If not mistakan, the first batch of seeds were all send out on the first week of September. So germination time should be about 2-3 weeks.

I guess so....(Cant confirm :) )

Re: WTS : Nepnut's Nep hybrid seeds (Made in Malaysia) ^_^

Yes, I use pure cocopeat.
I have tried SM, cocopeat and peat moss.
1. SM able to germinate but very easy grow fungus if not taking well control.
2. I found cocopeat easier for me, not easy to grow fungus and mold.
3. I put 6-7 seeds on peat moss with open air, only one germinated. I think it should be better if cover it to keep higher humidity.
:smile:But, I think the seed freshness is most important.

If you think those seeds were small, wait till you see some of the nep seeds originated from Thai nep species/hybrids... those are tiny !!*biggrin2*
