Re: My 1 year old VFTs

Hi Guys, thx for the compliment...

i think i better clear up the misunderstanding here...

i bought the plant 1 year ago as a 5cm diameter plant... its been in my care for a year
not that its necessarily 1 year old sorry for the confusion.

@ Malowie : theres fibre glass roof on top of it

@ harlem : yah the drosera grew there from seeds i deliberately sow them there... but if i try move other droseras which didnt grow in that area from seeds they will get burned by the sun... i tried moving the plant that produced the seeds which i sow on that vft pot and got burned in 4 days ( very brown and almost died )...

@ plantlover : That red dragon used to be soooo red all read and nothing else... but it starts to show green colours im not so sure why... a friend said that its caused by the lack of acidic property in the media.... what do you think ?

Hi Bonsay,

Provide your VFTs with more intense and long hours of sunlight. Your red dragon will eventually become red. Another factor is the difference in day and night temperature. According to some info I got, if you can provide the difference of at least 10°C, they'll turn very red with efficient sunlight. Hope this help.

Nice VFTs, are those droseras d.spathulata? All your VFTs look healthy, better than mine. Did you buy yours at a local nursery or a professional CP grower?

Cheers
