Four year old rajah...

Hey everyone, I was surfing the net for no reason until I stumbled on this.

http://coloradocarnivorousplantsocie...N_%20rajah.htm

This man has been growing this rajah for about four years. He documented the pictures from 2002-2006. Absolutely amazing! I hope this helps for those who wants to grow rajah, especially Aaron.:1thumbup:

Re: Four year old rajah...

Very tough to grow Rajah in lowland unless you have a cold setup.

Best to grow in Cameron highlands :D

Re: Four year old rajah...

I will pamper the rajah, if I get it. I want one, seeing this website link that I provided has cleared most of my doubt of growing rajah. I shall get one from Fauzi. No pain no gain, No trying no gain, no confidence no gain, no BBQ no full stomach, hehehe.....joking:laugh::laugh::2thumbup:

Re: Four year old rajah...

Well edward i don't really know what you mean by pamper but seriosuly dude consider its growing conditions before you do something like that.Or maybe you could just ask "shu yi" to pamper you and the rajah kakakakakak

Re: Four year old rajah...

You are ridiculous, everyone, don't bother the 'shu yi' stuff. Kenneth personal relationship, anyways, I have check out my house condition, I am growing inside my house. Near my balcony sliding door. temperature in the day is 29-30 max, although usually at 27-28. Night touches 25-26 at least, I will have a technic of keeping my rajah cool which I hope will work.

Re: Four year old rajah...

do the polystyrene way........ at night shift ur rajah in to the box and then place 2-3 ice bottles in the box and keep it half closed or quarter..Well i measured the temps and it reaches around 10C for certain periods of time normally around 15C....

Edwards angry hahahaha sry bro jus jk

Re: Four year old rajah...

Perhaps not, but the ice bottle is a good idea. I have 2 tropicana twister bottle, will consider using them to cool down the temperature of rajah. I don't want it too cool, otherwise, my mum will complain that the house is freezing.........:laugh:

You will all see, I shall not reveal until the end of this year.

Re: Four year old rajah...

Easy plants in the short term but not sure in the long term. My rajah (other than some sunburn) is still pitchering and growing.

Wanna tell my dad to put it on the ground and shady place, I rather suicide. He can be stubborn sometimes. Too systematic.

Re: Four year old rajah...

I'll post it tomorrow. My cute little sunburned rajah. The surrounding humidity is higher because I grow lotus near my CPs.

edwardyeeks 19th November 2008 09:49 PM

Re: Four year old rajah...

Re: Four year old rajah...

I grow lotus, waterlilies and lotus bamboo in vases, pots and containers filled with water. My neighbours all renovate their house. My neighbour beside my house renovate it until it is higher than my house so it blocks sunlight sometimes. This makes my place shadier in the evening and morning. My house also got renovate so it blocks direct sunlight too. Only on hot days my garden is hot.

Re: Four year old rajah...

Why your house have different light? blocks morning and evening but not afternoon sun? Wow, you might consider finding a freezing system.....

Re: Four year old rajah...

Get the building owner of your house, presumably your parents, to mention this section to the neighbour.

Uniform Building By-Laws 1984, Section 34(1) Subject to the specific requirement of Part IV, for a detached building there shall be not less than 2 meters clear space measured between the extreme projections of the building and boundaries of its lot...

Think your neightbour's wall is just 2 feet from your fence. May have to rectify his building then he'll hate you.

plantlover 20th November 2008 03:27 PM

Re: Four year old rajah...

Never mind onelah. This housing estate buildings all tall tall one-lah. The original house is 2 and a half stories.

plantlover 20th November 2008 03:28 PM

Re: Four year old rajah...

And it makes my house shadier.
