« Reply #10 on 31 Oct, 2007, 10:54 »Another good link from you Andy.

One question, how did he create the wall? Tree bark? Soil? I'm curious about the ingredients on the wall.

I think I will have a "mini" project coming very soon. This Andy is always bad news when he posts. LOL.

Thanks.

It says there that he uses metal frame, PVC layer(i think it's for the back) and finally a layer of felt.

It says "a felt layer, made of polyamide is stabled on the PVC".

Anyone here knows where to get this "felt" or similiar suggestions? I'd appreciate very much.

« Reply #11 on 31 Oct, 2007, 21:32 »I'm not familiar with those materials either. But I find lava rock, tree fern slab or sphagnum moss will be very useful to retain moisture. As for the structure, I might be using railway sleepers to act as the foundation or substrate for mounting. Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif Loggedisaacgoh

She's concerned about mossies, will find a solution for that soon because my balcony is like a tropical forest. What more with neps and neos retaining water!

I'll keep you updated with my vertical project along the way.

Cheers,
isaac
