Nepenthes in YG
Guys,
I saw a thread in GCS forum telling that we can't buy plants from YG nursery in Cameron Highlands. Is that true and i saw some variegated truncata and albo too.:bored: Need help from those who had experience buying plants from them. Thanx! |
Re: Nepenthes in YG
from what i know, we cant really buy directly from the YG nursery. theyve got a shop in cactus valley though..
|
Re: Nepenthes in YG
Ya loh! I went there before.
|
Re: Nepenthes in YG
They are a wholeseller and retailer. If you go to YG nursery directly you can only buy in bulk. But like what malowie said, go to their retail shop at cactus valley to get what you want.
If members here are interested in a particular plant that is not usually sold, we can have a group purchase, but somebody will have to drive up Cameron Highlands to get the plants from YG. |
Re: Nepenthes in YG
Yah! group purchase!! If I go there alone I can't find what I want.

Re: Nepenthes in YG
I might be growing this December, maybe with my sister when she come back from Sg.Please tell me what type of plants they'll have for sale.
|
Re: Nepenthes in YG
the plants available there depends on stock movement & their own method of gauging market demands at a particular time / period. we won`t be able to tell you what plants are available there.
even if the neps were there, it might not be for sale as it might not have reached a saleable market size yet. they are an asian ( or mebbe international ) market supplier with their reputation to protect so plse don`t expect to be like the usual nurseries we go to. |

There is some pics taken in YG..it's the rare variegated truncata and albo!:tt1:
I've heard that they are very slow growing plant due to it's less chlorophyll in their leaves. |
Re: Nepenthes in YG
Interestingly, there are a number of Singapore CPers who managed to buy plants from YG. Perhaps it is because they are foreigners.

Re: Nepenthes in YG
Then next time pretend to be foreigner lor when in YG.
