Jessi, do you expose the sundew to rain ? if it`s in the midst of recovering, i would suggest you put some clear plastic over it. You know the clear rectangular plastic used to wrap around school books ? U can use it.

And as for your water tray, use a lower one so that the pot & plant doesn`t get waterlogged or flooded by the water level. All these things accumulate & add up to stress out the sundew.

Thanks Tarence but unfortunately she's quite dead already. Of late the rain has been very heavy. I've got a round "pot" at the same place I put my burmanii filled with water for my Pegaga and baby Swordtails and it has hardly dried out and I think keeps getting filled, unlike the earlier months.

Anyway, I suppose I'll take the advise and try out with the seeds. Sphagnum moss izit? There were quite a number of different combinations in the various post. & need to get some sort of tray. I hope the area next to my window will be sufficient. Mother plant kinda died there... But that's the only area I can think of.

Really no one wants some of my seeds? I would rather some live than have them all die in my hands... eeps!

Hi Jessilim, sorry that your plant died. Just sprinkle the seeds on Sphagnum Moss and make sure it gets bright sunlight and enough water. They should germinate in a few weeks. You don't need the tray. Just put a plastic tupperware(that kind when you take away food) that is bigger than the pot underneath it. And you can put the pot where your mother plant was growing and flowering. This time if they try to flower cut the flower stalk.

BTW sorry I don't need the seed. I already have 6-7 burmanii from seed. Maybe some other member.

The pot I have is quite small, so good idea to recycle some old "tau fu fa" container or something like it... I do need to put some holes thru the bottom, right? Hmm... time to dig and spring clean the kitchen... haha!

Don't put holes on under the plastic tupperware. The reason to use it is to water the plants from the bottom of the pot. If you put holes the water will flow out.

Here are mine. I time to have them all flower at once. Harvested their seeds last week. The have already strunk so I have my replacement ready. However, this morning on closer examination, some are showing signs of recovery.

The tiny one in the middle seems hopeless. Compare the size is has strunk with the flowering picture (Pic 2). Few around it managed to push up new leaf (pic 3).

Sorry, i meant I tot to use the plastic tupperware as flower pots, not as the bottom tray. That one will have to use even bigger tupperware or something else... hehe.

Thanks Ban Aik for your photos. And ya, real big difference in size. You keep all of them together huh? The 1st picture looks crowded. That's a normal plastic pot (from any nursery, quite deep) that you're using, right? Pretty brave to let them all flower at the same time...

Ban Aik is an experienced grower so he don't mind letting them flower all at once.

Aaron, you're making me blush. I am just a beginner, still learning from sifus here. To be frank, I want them to die all at once so I can replant fresh. No point hanging bit here and there. Moreover it is pretty to have a flowering pot. My only regret is I was too busy to photograph the flowers.

Jessi, you're right that is a normal pot. Actually it was more crowded prior to it flowering. You couldn't even see the dark media at the bottom.
