Sarracenia Sunlight Requirement

How much sunlight should I provide for my Sarracenia purpurea and leucophylla? Direct or shade?

Welcome to PP.

Please provide direct sunligt to all sarracenia and put the pot on 1~2cm water.

Direct sunlight is best, but I find that leucophylla grows best with only about 5-7 hours hours of direct sunlight instead of the whole day being exposed to sunlight. Before that, mine received sunlight from 9am-6pm. When I moved it to an area receiving less sunlight time, pitchers were taller and just as colourful as before. This is just my case.

Generally as much direct light as possible but it is just as important to maintain high humidity. Shouldn't be such a problem for you but make sure the plants don't dry out.
