Re: for the road
in situ a lot of them are naturely green , just some one are born red .
the sun increase the red colour , activate the "antocyanate" and the "carotene" into the botanical cell , it is a normal reaction to the UV. http://pinguicula.free.fr/x%27florian%27.JPG here in FRANCE with a naturel light ( just the morning sun ) you have this red color *biggrin2* jeff |
Re: for the road
YOU mean UVA or UVB? Do you think that a P.emarginata x 'weser' will get any colour? Thanks :D

Re: for the road
in situ you have 3 UV differentiated by their wavelength
UVA:320 to 400 mn UVB:290 to 290 mn UVC : <280 mn Stopped by the check mark ozone the UVA here are dangerous all the journey the UVB just form 12 to16 h they are more dangerous because the more penetrating than UVA for me the morphological standard from x'Weser '( the real) and emarginata for the leaves are green. now if they are invariably in the sun they will even turn pink or red *biggrin2* jeff |
Re: for the road
Oh thanks:2thumbup:. Do you find out which UV makes plants grow? Is it UVA or UVB?

Re: for the road
for a 100% radiation incident on a plant:
you have 42% for infrared,4% for the UV ( all) and 54% for a visible light for infrared: 45% to 42% used to sweating for the visible light : 27 % for the plant , 1% for the photosynthesis ,the others reflected I think that's how it happens, but I may be mistaken jeff |
Re: for the road
Dear Jeff,
Thank for the sharing. Now I just know why my Pinguicula change colour from Red to Green and from Green to Red when I move it from 1 place to other. Thank you |

Yes. But do not have seed. Any idea on how to get the seed if I only have 1 type? As my understand, we needs to cross pollination (2 family) to the seed.:shy: Thank you |
