Aaron, that is happening to my VFT. I think it is lack of light, since when I asked Fauzi, he said that VFTs grow smaller traps and shut the traps slower in lesser light. If it is deformed, then I think it should be aphids. It happened to me too. Cheers |

Theres no sign of aphids. And its not lack of light. My rajah is getting sunburnt and the temperature had been near 40 for 3-5 days. I've 2 VFT in a pot and only 1 is shutting slowly and growing deformed traps while the other is just normal. All are growing autumn leaves. Well the deformed traps are thinner than usual.
