D.rotundifolia?
do they grow well in our climate?
any1 in Malaysia here grow them? can they tolerate our fullsun?feeling like owning one |
Re: D.rotundifolia?
Full sun won't be a problem. The issue you will have is dormancy. They do like a dormant period each year and this requires a shorter photoperiod and cooler temperatures. If you have some way of providing tis then they will go ok. If you would like to try some seeds anyway to see how they go let me know. I should have some off my plants soon.

Re: D.rotundifolia?
wow glad some one answered!
i think dormancy ,i can just dumb it into the fridge or just leave it some where shade and dry. if you got some fresh seeds coming at a good price,i take some :) also may i know how do you know if its goin to dormant? how wet should i keep it? Thanks Harris |
Re: D.rotundifolia?
so far i have a few of them germinated, they seems to enjoy our weather quite well, i did not put any water tray for them and they can tolerate from full sun to shade condition, but providing shade wont make it look red ..
so far still 2-3cm, cannot give much information yet |
Re: D.rotundifolia?
2-3cm is quite big!
how long they take to germinate? |
Re: D.rotundifolia?
they start germinate within 2 weeks, but lots of them being was away by rain water, now still left 5-6 seedlings with that diameter
|
Re: D.rotundifolia?
so average it takes 2weeks after germination to reach that diameter?
