N. Campanulata
 

Got this one from Fauzi through KC, good plant in great condition, until it reached my hand, get ignored for a week and when I went back home from perak, gone bad...

Leaves started to rot from the end edge, according to Fauzi, it was overly watered, hope it survive...

only 2 green leaves left here, and one is about to rot like those previous one, only 1 in great shape, no new leaf yet so far

I almost lost my N. campanulata when I first got it, it came as size XS from BE. Just don't over water it as it prefer dry media. Hope it'll recover for you soon.

change to drier media otherwise you're going to lose it.

since there are neps which prefer drier media, can the sifus and pros here point out and share some tips on which neps thrive and which not.....sorry cway, i hijacked your thread.:confused:

i think you could put this plant to a have bright diffusion light place.and keep high humidity.hope it will be OK.

I've just disturbed the root of it by changing it's media about a week ago, is it alright to change it again in such a short period of time? thanks:smile:

No harm at this stage. aqueeze the wet sphagnum moss so that they are not wet and add perlite 70% to the mix. keep media moist to dry.

Thanks a lot for the advice, will try to get those material as soon as I can(the only shop selling those stuff in my home town burned down about 2 weeks ago), my plan at the moment is to keep it some where bright without direct sunlight, watering by spraying water on the leaves to let the water slowly move down a bit, hope this will keep it survive

a bit of update:

-one of the two remaining leafs turning black, finally found a bag of burned soil many kilometers away, repotted it, the bottom consist of coco chips and sphagnum moss to hold the burn soil, about 1/3 of the total medium, and the 2/3 are purely burn soil, how often should I water it? thanks:smile:

How big is your pot and did you sieve the burnt soil before using it?? Many factors (icluding the ones I just asked) affect your watering frequency.

The idea is to only keep it moist not wet with water draining easily from the media.

this nep sounds like cephalotus now...not sure what is "sieve", but I've rinse the burned soil for many times, using only those bigger pieces rather than those "soil"

Sieve is actually filter... but you said you rinse the burned soil many times, so that should be fine.

This is my campa when I first got it... in bad condition... almost didn't make it :sweating:

I see i see, thanks for pointing out, at least your's looks more tidy than mine, now my campanulata has only 1 green leafs left with one tiny point of new leaf not growing out for more than a month, growth rate is super slow to me

Sorry, spent RM 75 on one so no, you can't have it even if I hate it :biggrin::biggrin:.
