My collection is nothing compare to yours. You got alot of different of Amp and other I hope to have neps and VFT. :2thumbup: So envy. I dont even know how to grow them well... |

But you have many that I don't have!!!
We all learned from mistakes, plants grow well just by their basic needs are being taken care off. Be more sensitive to the growing condition and needs, I'm sure you can grow them well too :) Moreover we have many gurus here, hehe. |

With ventricosa in it the plant will do just fine. although trusmadiensis = macrohylla x lowii is both highland, i think (ventricosa x trusmadiensis) x truncata will help it to thrive in LL conditions Jeff.

Update my growlist and nep condition
N. Northiana FINALLY PITCHER!!!!! I can remove it from the difficult nep in my list! I thought it will take me years to pitcher, but surprisingly it pitcher after six months. N. Sibuyanensis x Hamata (no.1) pitchering a new one. N. Sibuyanensis x Hamata (no.2) starts to pitcher. I decide to buy two more sooner. One for me. Another for my friend. N. Alata-striped x Truncata pitcher one new pitcher, but strange there is a hole at the side of the pitcher... |

I got new neps!! N. Ampullaria Brown Lip (Too bad no money to get Hot lip) & N. Ampullaria Spotted Tricolour (NICE plant) But....N. x Bauensis (its leaves feel like jelly this morning... ) Oh ya and N. Viking. N. Veitchii Mountain Hose no sign of growing so under going of cutting undevelop pitcher trick, hope it works next will be bical and plus N. Rafflesiana Kuching Squat Red has showed NO SIGN OF GROWING FOR ALMOST MORE THAN A YEAR!! WTX N. Sibuyanensis x Ventricosa Dead......... remove from list N. Northiana continue to pitcher. it is getting bigger and bigger everyday!!!!! |

You have some nice plants there Jeff. If you are still looking for the ID for the Drosera the first two are D. binata and D. filiformis. BTW the VFT in the first photo of your first post looks as if it is not receiving enough light. Good growing. Cheers.

If it still looks similar to the first photo then you just need to increase the light levels. VFT's can handle full sun but if it is coming from low light levels you should gradually increase light (if using sun) over a couple of weeks. If you are using artificial light then just move them closer to the globes.

I still want to get all CPs, VFT are still fun, but neps are cool to. Actually, all carnivorous plants are unique and fun, no matter what size or promise they give.

*biggrin2* TS, most of my neps are not growing well except N alata x truncata & thorelii. The rest are new in my collection, so i try to take pictures first before it gone. Like my lowii x truncata, No sign of growing. :confused:
Amelie I have tried to cut away the newly undeveloped pitcher to encourage/force the nep to pitcher from its new leaves. But it works for some, but not all the times. So far, i concluse, it depends on humidity. My side humidity is low due to windy and hot. NO way to make any changes to my growing area.... In Singapore, only wealthy people can grow better neps. |

I have number of Neps Dead today........ ALL turn black..... Waste of money.... I concluded, In Singapore in order to grow Neps without a garden or BEST have a good humid corridor, dont dream or waste money on NEps. After Lowii x Truncata has DEAD on me.... I gave up........ I already SOLD All my Neps away.... :crying::crying: ALL of them not growing well.... My growing area is TOO WINDY, HOT, LESS HUMIDITY... EVEN Miranda, Raff, gracilis can die, Lowlander give up on me.... WASTE MONEY WASTE WASTE WASTE |

Cannot grow some garden plant to higher the humidity and protect yours nep from wind? Or Setup a terratium or Buy a lower level apartment or landed property and grow CP again. |
