Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 Hi!! Aaron, Edwardyeeks, Bactrus…..

I said my CPs weeny because I mostly got 1 plant for 1 species. Not like other people have many plant for 1 species. So Aaron, I no have other CPs to change with u..If u got any CPs to sell, u can let me know …Maybe will get some CPs when Florest Fest in Penang….See 1st…

Edwardyeeks, I start plant CPs since 18 August 2008 when I go Green Penang Flora Exhibition at Auto-City, Juru. That time my dad just bought me N. ampullaria (Green) and N. rafflesiana. After that I bought other CPs myself and sure will get dad scold and warning. So that’s why I stop to get CPs now. Will get it again after that….So Aaron, so I cant fight with u liao…if not, I will kill by dad… :crying::crying:
Actually I get spatulata from KL through post parcel. When I get my two spatulata, they already shrivel and 1 spatulata died next day. The other spatulata I get already show unhealthy and no have dew, also start show the sigh of shrivel. Very sad when see it. :crying: My Pinguicula primuliflora also die after few days through that post parcel. :crying:

Harlem, Beautiful plants. Why not enter the Penang Floral CP competition in November. Think they stand a good chance. Afterall you're in Penang, easy for you to retrive the plant after the competition.

harlem2347 20th October 2008 01:41 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 Hi! Bactrus...
I not enter the Penang CP competition in November because I feel myself no have qualification. I just start plant CPs since August....The most problem is the way that for take CPs to botonical garden...My parents dun allow me go Penang alone and they also no free...Sure will get dad scold if need his help to fetch me and take the CPs go there...

Khoas 20th October 2008 01:42 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

Have to wait for the Ping to flower to ID it. The Drosera is most likely burmanii or possibly sessifolia. Have to wait to it flowers, if the flowers are white it burmanii, if pink sessifolia.

harlem2347 20th October 2008 02:15 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 Hi! Khoas...thanks ya!!
That drosera open the white flower before..so thats mean they are burmanii loh...thanks!! :1thumbup:

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

How does filiformis looks like. Cause my filiformis looks like an adalae. Or did Caseyhoo gave me the wrong plant?

harlem2347 20th October 2008 04:54 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 Hi! Aaron...
Drosera filiformis, commonly known as the Thread-leaved sundew is a small, insectivorous, rosette forming species of perennialherb. A species of sundew, it is unusual within its genus in that the long, erect, filiform (thread-like) leaves of this plant unroll in spirals - an arrangement similar to the circinate vernation seen in Ferns.......
Hope this can help u....

plantlover 20th October 2008 05:04 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

Mine does not look like a thread instead it look like your adelae. So Caseyhoo must have sent the wrong plant but never mind, I appreciate it very much. Thanks for the information Harlem.

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

call me edward, that is NOT weeny!

You start from august and now have that many plants???? and have confidence entering the competition, if you are allowed. Having only one plant of each species is not lame, but its more like, ermmm.......how should I put it.....special. think positive, if you don't understand what I say, nvm...but thats a nice collection, your neps are healthy, compare your list with mine and you'll laugh.

Cheers

edwardyeeks 20th October 2008 10:37 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

yep, think its p.morenasis but as khoas says, wait till it flowers to ID it:smile:

harlem2347 21st October 2008 11:26 AM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 OK..Edward…
Ya..start from August. I really no have confidence to enter the competition. Most reason is the way to send to competition place. My parents dun allow me go to Penang alone..Aii…:crying:
I have one plant of each species is for save place and avoid dad scolding. If got place, I also can get another species..better than all the plants are same species…
Edward..thanks a lot! I know what u mean…thanks for encourage me!!
Dun say like that, we wont laugh u. U just start plant CPs I believe u sure can get more and nice CPs in the future…:1thumbup::1thumbup:
Ya…I also wait the pink flower…but look like need take long time…:crying::crying:

Ken

harlem2347 22nd October 2008 12:35 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

 Hi! Ken….
Actually I sow Neps seeds in the transparent container with chopped sphagnum moss and cover it. The white patchers that u mean..I think is vapor, vapor make the transparent cover look like white patchers….
Ask u one stupid question?? If I cover them like that, seeds will die because of less breath…I quite confuse in this question…
Thanks!!

kentosaurs 22nd October 2008 12:58 PM

Re: Harlem Weeny GrowList @_@

Well i don't think they will die or anything they should be just fine. The only thing is that fungus can grow easily.I dunno much bout container growing because i grow them like normal neps.

 Hi! Ken…..
Ya..u are right…we will get learning from the failures…:1thumbup:
The seeds that I sow before still no germinate….:crying::crying::crying:
I sow the seeds on the transparent container with the cover this morning…This is because weather here become very dryness..long time no raining..I close them with transparent cover to increase the humidity….
