Yeah can't see the picture clearly enough to help. Have a look at this link. It will show the difference between male and female flowers. Cheers.

My campa is flowering now and I think it's a female !! *biggrin2*

I want to breed pure campanulata so anyone got campanulata pollen pls let me know. If successful in collecting seeds, we'll split 50 / 50, thanks.

nice, what a coincident, if mine happens to be a male, I'm interested with the deal, how long does it take for the flower to open? mine have been around for about a week without the "opening ceremony"

do u have a picture of your flower so that I can do some simple comparison? thanks

I think my campa flower will be opening this week. Timing is very tight... I'll take a pic tomorrow to show you, C Way.

Kevyn,
Seed grown campa.... I think it's very rare !!! *biggrin2* Most campa on the market are TC plants. I hope everything will go according to plan and manage to harvest viable seeds from this breeding.

I just found out that most campa on the market were females... :crying:

C way, now we really need to take a closer look at your campa flower, if it's a female then I'll need to look for the pollen else where.

hi again, my campanulata flowers open, but I don't have a good cam to get a decent picture of it, nepnut, is it ok for me to ask for a picture of ur campa flower as a reference?

Basic description of my flower, square in shape, one of it opens, the content looks like the male flower thingy of sarrs, yellow in color

Female campa flower:

Male flower of another sp:

I can conclude that my campanulata flower happens to be a male one:smile::smile::smile:, when and how can I collect the pollen? Thanks

At the moment, only 1 flower opened, the rest are about to open up in another week or so:smile::smile::smile:

when the male flowers open up, and usually the next day the yellowish thingy become powdery it was time to collect by tappping over a piece of paper ( preferably waxy paper ). or cut it , place on a piece of waxy paper and scrap the pollens. keep and save in the fridge.
