« Thread Started on Apr 11, 2007, 9:05pm »http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/modify.gif http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/delete.gif Just want to share this picture of my N. gracilis (stout). It was a cutting that Prana gave me. I took a risk by cutting it into two and now I have 2 plants. Love this plant so cute! Everything from leaves to pitchers are short and stout. Just like a midget.
This picture was taken in March. It has been growing at my window sill for a month now. It has grown a few pitchers.

But I do remember that after cutting it the lower cutting was quite short. Could not cut higher as the it was soft at the last 3 leaves on the top.

The plant that I gave you when I visited you last time is Gracillis also but then it doesn't seem to grow big pitcher even in my place.
If you want more, I'll try to get you somemore.
Rgds,
Isaac

I syuspect it might not be gracilis. The one you gave me has grown a few new leaves and 2 picthers the size of my gracilis stout. However, the leaves and picthers doesn't really look like gracilis. Somehow it look like mirabilis to me. Gotto wait for it to grow bigger and see.
That plant you gave has always given me the excitement each day when I look at it, trying to see what species it is as it grows bigger.
If you have extra, I don't mind 2 more plantlets. http://s4.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

This is not the gracilis form that is from Sitiawan? Do you still have some of those? « Last Edit: Apr 21, 2007, 8:49am by David »Link to Post - Back to Top http://s4.images.proboards.com/ip.gif 218.111.30.210 David

This gracilis was given to me by Prana from Singapore. Nope, it's not the maroon one from Sitiawan. I still have 2 pots in my parent's place.

The parents where I took the plant from has leaves that looks like graccillis but all the pitchers remain very small. I'll get some more from the parents when you come over for the other good stuffs.
I am no expert on what species it is, just keeping it because it always remain slow with tiny pitchers.

« Reply #8 on May 7, 2007, 5:15pm »http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/modify.gif http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/delete.gif I have one Graccilis question, does your gracillis grow red mark on the pitcher like someone just chop a red mark on the body of the pitcher(sometimes it's kind of like someone just kissed the pitcher leaving a lips mark)? I know that there's quite a few types of graccilis but I just want to know if it's common to see a red mark.
The 'graccilis' that I have produces red mark consistently in most pitcher when given enough sun light. Now i'm not sure if it's graccilis or a hybrid.
I'll try to take a picture of a nice pitcher. « Last Edit: May 7, 2007, 10:18pm by David »Link to Post - Back to Top http://s4.images.proboards.com/ip.gif 202.162.29.16 David
