thx hongrui......a whole field / bunch of sunflowers is one of my dreams too. the closest i got to it : planted 30 sunflowers seeds hoping that ALL will germinate. Alas, only 7 plants chose to live. From that, they grew at different speeds & had different heights & flowered at different intervals. And after 3 months of care, the fully opened flowers only lasted 3 or 4 days. Where got fair like that man ? I think sunflowers do better in temperate climate. Once the sunflowers get `bashed` by raindrops, that`s it. Finito.

Perhaps I`ll try again to realise the `dream`. anyone got lovely sunflowers to show ?

I have it long time ago. I successfully grow 3 plant of them. Now, no more. :crying:

Last week, I just got some sunflower seeds from forumer. Not sure how flower will looks like... Lets grow it and see...

thx Casey.....lovely sunflower. sunflowers come in an amazing variety rite ? different flower size, diff plant heights, diff looks ( slightly diff lah ), and even diff colours like orange i think.

let`s see if i can get a huge pot then plant it with some sunflowers.

I HAD lots of sunflowers. Everytime I grow them CATERPILLARS come. My dad asked my maid to burn them.

yes sunflower loves to grow in full light...

and they do well with manure at the base =)
