Sarracenia sp ID please.
 
Can't help my self when I saw it in a Orchid Show so I bought it :laugh:
Im thinking Sarracenia puperea? but I would love to hear what you guys have to say.

yep you've got a Sarracenia purpurea, beautiful isn't it.

It suppose is S. purpurea or Purpurea purpurea hybrid as labeled by YG... A top view photo will help a lots...

hi from Penang, leetplayer.. :) i have the same hybrid/species. Give as much sun as possible and the pitchers will turn very red..

The plant you have there is a S. purpurea ssp. venosa. The lid is more ruffled and the pitchers are more stout than the purpurea ssp. purpurea. Whilst they do color up with sunlight they don't generally go as red as purpurea ssp. purpurea.
