Rare banana

Hi everyone,

Went with friends to waterfall and this is what we found.

Have you ever seen something like this?

Is this a species which bears fruit like this or a special plant? Will the shoot taken from the this plant bear fruit like this?

Thanx!

Oh BTW,that's the owner of the plant standing with the umbrella. He told me that he never seen this before. The flower is still very big and he suspect it to grow more longer. He was digging the ground so that the flower continue to grow though.

Great plant Ali! Last time I saw this plant was in a botanical garden in Hawaii, I think, and it was labeled as having come from Burma. The name was something like "10,000 lady fingers"! Yes, I believe that a shoot dug out from this plant should, in time produce the same type of stalk. This one is taller (plant) than the ones I've seen before.
