Re: Where to find???
Mini dendrobiums are cute and very cheap. 3 for Rm10 where I live... :P If you want, I can get some and send to you, but you have to wait till I get back in November... Easy vandaceous types are Mokara (some are aggressive flowering machines, never without flowers) and Aranda, but they need a considerable amount of sun. Do not make the mistake of buying strap-leaved vandas, as they are slow growers, bloom infrequently and generally difficult to care for. These usually are sold in empty plastic baskets with the roots dangling out..

Re: Where to find???
Maybe might wanna get some from you paphioboy, and i can wait but can't confirm yet. How do you pot an orchid when all of its roots are dangling everywhere?

Re: Where to find???
Ken, orchid roots are meant to dangle everywhere.. :p You can't confine them.. Especially vandas.. Hence, just leave them be. For mini dends, I find they grow much better on wooden mounts. They're potted in cocohusk at the time of purchase. I just remove the entire root ball and tie them on a piece of wood (softwood, hardwood, mangrove, tree branch, doesn't matter... ) with raffia string or fishing line.. Have to tie them firmly so that they won't wobble. Otherwise, they won't root..

I got some dendrobium, Phila grown by cutting. |
Re: Where to find???
sure, me just got some which was able to exchange, like dendrobium, but others might cannot, as it need half year to recover from cutting, what matter how big is it, haha
