Cindy, looks ok what, looks like they are on the way to recovery......compared to my black wrinkly shrivelled cephs. heheh.

why did u decide not to bag them up ? to test their hardiness ah ?

Nah, just lazy. Besides, when I bag them up I will have to harden them again later on.

I haven't got down to removing the offshoots on the plants I posted as in the first two photos. Still thinking about how to make the cut. Maybe by then, I can just split the main plant into three plants.

Another offshoot removed and potted today.

This time, the offshoot has leaves producing dew.

Just to update that the dewy offshoot removed 2 weeks ago has stabilised and started growing. Not sure if it has developed roots 'cos I wouldn't want to pull it out to check. Will post a pic later.

Re: D. paradoxa - propagation via offshoots

Aiya, why everyone`s d.paradoxa got offshoots but i`ve never seen one in my garden ? i`ve lost an adult d.paradoxa so far to dormancy and during a recent sale event, i sold off the remaining 2 adults ones i had coz some buyers insisted in getting them.

i`ve left with a tiny off-shoot from a leaf cutting. No sweat.

Re: D. paradoxa - propagation via offshoots

Tarence,

Mine also no offshoot yet, just like yours. I have two pots. As mentioned to you the other day, I've since pluck off almost 90% of the leaves of one of the pots to do leaf cuttings. In the incubation chamber now.

I'll pass you some babies when they sprout from the cuttings. I think there's about 30-40 leaf cuttings. Should give me a lot of babies :)
