Orchid or ... ?

Got this plant from my aunt.It is quite tall.Anybody can identify what species is this.Although the flower looks like orchid but the roots and basals are more like normal plants.

definetely an orchid, arundina graminifolia.

sometimes also called bamboo orchid due to the similarities of the plant to bamboo. you can find a lot of this orchid on the way up to Cameron Highland if you use Simpang Pulai route.

Thanks for the info Harris.This plant is something like hybrid for me.Really looks different from normal orchides.
