mind telling more about how you treat them daily i.e. watering, medium and so on?

and also species/hybrid you playing with...

I encountered the same problem early in my involvement with nepenthes. Sometimes by just shifting the affected plants to a shadier spot will solved the problem. But it will be better if you could furnish a little more details like Cway said as not all neps are alike and act the same.

Cway... i believe i got 2 plant from you last time...remember we meet at NA subang jaya...sorry i forget their exact name...but 1 of them is N. x coccinea...which i got from caseyhoo...

medium i use is the medium they come with...never change them yet as of now...can i safely presume it's peat moss/sphagnum moss...??

how i treat them???basicly i did nothing much...place it on my balcony...where it get early morning sun( 8am - 10am)...mid day is shaded by an awning (10am - 4pm) ....and later get evening sun again (4pm - sunsets)...since nowdays frequently rain...i dont do much watering...i will mist the plants with water spray every time i feel like it (when i'm home usually 4/5 times a day...if i'm at work...then no misting)...if i do water them...i use my planted tank aquarium water...usually when i do my this when i do water change...which roughly 3 - 4 day intervals...

ok...will try to move them to a shadier spot...and see the progress...thanks for the suggestion... :1thumbup:

oh, recall, ampullaria and mirabilis if not mistaken

for watering part, you should try clean tap water instead of planted tank water as it's full of fertilizer in it, plus some carbon dioxide...the leaf of nep takes in carbon dioxide when other requirements are met for photosynthesis but the roots takes oxygen, try to change the watering and see if it helps or not.

other factor could include medium need change...

Those plants could still be in a process of acclimatising... after they acclimatise they should produce pitcher normally, my tiny 2 cents....

ok guys...thanks...will try to change my water source...relocate them....and medium change...:1thumbup:

by the way...may i ask something...how much is too much light for these guys...or have to see if the got sunburn first to know...??*biggrin2*

and can they survive under artificial light...been planing to put them in a aquarium with partial sunlight + artificial light source (namely 1X55watt PL-L)...is this posible??

for my part....as long as they not dead is an achievement on its own... :1thumbup:
