Thanks for the comments - all the credit goes to Borneo though - anywhere you point the camera you are bound to get something amazing! Ch'ien Lee did an absolutely stunning job of setting our itinerary with every passing day just getting more and more amazing, culminating with Kinabalu's villosa/raja/kinabaluensis and harryana was perfect...doubt there was much else that could have topped that!

Yep, that's a fusca Alcran. Sorry, I just haven't got time to label everything right now. I expect that very soon a few others from the trip will begin posting pictures as well.

No worries David, it gave me a little time to get started with my reading (raided Dr. Chan's office at Borneo Natural History Publishing) Ended up 11 kilos overweight on the return trip!

Hi Shawn....Simply stunnning pictures.....Glad to see the affects of your "workout" :) Hope to see more....As for your second posting of pics...To me that fusca looks like a hurreliana cos of the thicker peristrome and also what is the other green pitcher?

Okay, not sure about this but... this plant 'seemed' to be in the process of changing over. The lower leaves all had the tendril attachment point inset from the leaf margin, but as the upper leaves have started to form right from the tip. I assume it will put out 'uppers' now but there were no formed pitchers to confirm this by as yet. (Another great excuse to go back!)

Hee, hee, hee! I had 2 x 8GB cards with me but got worried and bought another on the way to the airport! I had figured that three battery packs would be enough as we had many chances to re-charge along the way but even so I managed to power-out (as in run out!) a couple times! Thanks Andy, as I said, "Borneo deserves all the credit"! I was just blown away seeing the pictures I was getting on the little screen...now on my big screen I'm loving it! These are all heavily compressed for the forum but the originals are great!

Great pictures !! I regret not setting some time to go find these Neps when I was in Sabah Dec last year . After viewing your pictures, I now plan to visit Sabah again ( most probably in another 2 years ) .
